程大凝，原平人，毕业于忻州师范学院和山西大学艺术系，曾在原平市文化馆与忻州市群众艺术馆等单位工作，退休于市政府办公厅，又特聘为忻州师院书法教授。四岁（三周）随爷爷父亲学习诗书画，七岁入学正式拜师于本村老秀才语文老师，每日临贴百余字。后又就读于忻州师范学院和山西大学艺术系，受全省和全国著名书法家姚奠中、段体礼、李孝慈老师书法课的讲授与课外辅导，四十多年在工作中刻腊版上千张，在胶片上书写4毫米戏剧唱词字幕60部近60万字，书写展览的说明及前言近百个，又上万字；书写会标及刷写墙体标语千余条，书写对联上万幅、整日与写字打交道，一生作文书信都是用毛笔书写。退休后又在中书协展览中心培训3次，而且每日临贴创作、授课培训不少于12小时，一生临贴300余本，少则两三次，多则上百次，现能熟练书写18种书体，有3种书体已获得国家专利。退休后，参加全国书法大赛获特等奖、金奖等300多次；获中宣部、人民日报社、外交部、文化部、中国文联、中国书协、中国美协、香港中国书法家协会等百余家单位的荣誉证书近300余本：
